FAQ

Q. How does this work? What is the process?

Our process is simple and efficient to ensure you receive a high-quality video that meets your needs. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Send us your video assets

To get started, you only need to send us the video footage you want us to use to edit your videos. Don’t worry if you still need to get everything ready—if we need additional materials, we’ll contact you promptly.

Step 2: We’ll get to work editing

Once we have all the necessary materials, our team will start editing your video. We’ll work tirelessly to ensure we deliver a product that exceeds your expectations.

Step 3: Review and revisions

When the video is complete, we’ll send it to you for review. Typically, we aim to finish a video within one or two rounds of revisions. However, if you require additional revisions, we can consistently deliver those as long as you’re comfortable with our hourly rates. Our goal is to work together to get closer to a point where we can provide videos with zero rounds of revisions.

Step 4: Flexible pricing options

We understand that each project is unique, and we offer a range of flexible pricing options to suit your needs. Whether you prefer an hourly rate, a fixed rate for specific projects, or working on your videos in batches, we’ve got you covered.

Q. What kind of videos can I request to edit?

Our specialty lies in repurposing your old videos or creating fresh social media videos for daily content, online courses, talking head videos, multicam interviews, tutorials, ads, repurposed live videos, and long-form vlog posts.

However, we do have certain limitations:

  • We do not edit wedding films.

  • We do not edit music videos.

  • We do not make videos by stealing someone else’s content on YouTube, for example. Even if you do it with the publisher’s consent, such jobs are not exciting for our team.

  • We do not offer extensive animation services.

  • We do not create videos based solely on voiceovers, as we expect you to provide content we are supposed to edit.

Other than that, we welcome the opportunity to tackle any project you may have in mind. Embracing challenges is how we continue to thrive as a business! Check out our portfolio page to see examples of our previous work.

Q. Can I submit more videos in one order?

Absolutely! You can submit as many videos as you want for editing. By submitting multiple videos at once, you can receive all your edited videos faster than if we edit them one by one.

Here’s how it works: once we receive your footage, we’ll plan our schedule and reserve appropriate time slots for editing your videos. As soon as one, five, or ten videos are ready for your review, you’ll receive them.

The best part? Instead of waiting for your feedback, we’ll start working on the next batch, giving you the flexibility to provide feedback without any rush. So go ahead and submit as many videos as you’d like – we’re ready to help you create professional content on a massive scale!

Q. How long do you keep my files?

Typically, we keep your files for 1 month after you approve the final video. If you require us to store your files for an extended period, please inform us, and we will accommodate your request.

Q. How can I upload/send you my footage?

We have a few options for you to get your footage to us quickly and without any quality loss.

Dropbox or Google Drive: We suggest uploading your files to Dropbox or Google Drive and sharing a link to the folder. Make sure the file/folder is available for “anyone with a link.” That will help ensure the fastest, easiest, and most efficient way to share your footage.

Using other file-sharing platforms

For the best results, we strongly recommend using file-sharing platforms like Dropbox, Google Drive, or Frame.io. These platforms allow us to download your footage easily, ensuring the final result meets your expectations and avoiding any potential issues with low-quality files.

Please note that downloading videos from social media platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, or Facebook may result in lower-quality files that we cannot work with. We also find it challenging to produce quality content by working with videos that have already been edited and published on social media.

We hope this helps and look forward to working with you!

Q. How long does it take to get a video edited?

We do our best to deliver as close to the final version of the video within 3-4 business days (for videos up to 4 minutes) after you submit your video order to us. Afterward, you have time to leave feedback and ask for a correction if needed. The more precise your vision and details about the order are, the faster the finalization of your video will be. You might be good to go with the first version, or we might need 1-2 revisions to get it right.

Keep in mind that longer videos that are over five minutes may take few more business days to finalize.

Q. Do you work on weekends?

Our working days are from Monday to Friday, and we don’t operate on weekends. But we do not have any holidays or days off. It’s straight Monday to Friday all year round. During the weekends, you can still place and review orders and send us messages. We may have someone from time to time respond to you then, but please note that your editor will only begin working on your request on Monday.

Q. Can I select the music myself?

When submitting a project, you have the option to specify whether you want the music to be included in the video or not. You may also indicate your preferred genre or allow your editor to select on your behalf.

There’s no need to worry about licensing or additional fees for music since we can also use a large royalty-free music library from Youtube.

Feel free to use the search bar and filters to refine your options. Once you have selected, kindly provide us with the link to the exact track(s) you would like to use

Q. What kind of b-rolls can you add?

B-roll footage serves as supplementary or alternative visuals intercut with the primary shot. We can add various B-roll options to your video, such as full frame text animations, quotes, drone shots, gimbal footage, any video B-roll provided by you, simple animated B-rolls with graphics or stock footage B-rolls, and more.

Q. What are timestamps? How do they look? Do I need to submit them?

What are timestamps?

Media Footage Timestamps refer to specific time intervals of a video clip. They signify parts of the video footage identified using timestamps.

For example:
File name_1 | 04:16-06:07
File name_2 | 00:28-01:42

Alternatively, you may use all the footage without specific timestamps by indicating “full clip” when submitting your order. In general, any stutters, retakes, or pauses will be removed by default, but you can tell your editor which parts you would like to cut out.

We can also upload your videos to our Dropbox Replay, where you can add comments throughout the video. Timestamps will appear around every comment automatically, giving you peace of mind when generating those requirements.

Do I need to submit them?

Our editors can choose the cuts themselves, but they may not always guess your expectation in the best way. To ensure a smoother editing process and minimize the need for revisions, we highly recommend providing us with as many timestamps as possible at the onset of our collaboration.

In the future, we may be able to pick the best moments of your video and figure out the timestamps ourselves faster and more precisely. Not having timestamps usually increases the cost and time of production and potentially rounds of revisions, too. So, if you want videos edited quicker and more affordably, it would always be beneficial to have timestamps from you.

Q. What software do you use?

Our primary software is Adobe Premiere Pro, along with Adobe After Effects. Additionally, we use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to process images, graphics, and vector graphics during editing.

Q. Can the editor send me the project files?

Sure. Our editors can send you all the project files upon request (“.zip” archives of Adobe Premiere Pro files). To receive the project files, please inform us that you would like to have them at any time within 2 months after we finish your video. We will then provide you with a zip archive file containing your project’s Adobe Premier Pro source files at no extra cost. Please keep in mind that we store raw footage of the accomplished videos for only one month.

Q. Refund policy

We want to ensure our customers are satisfied with our work, so we usually ask for 50% deposit payment before working on your project. This eliminates any challenges and gives you some extra peace of mind.

You may request a refund if you cancel your project before receiving the first draft.

Q. Do you make Thumbnails?

Yes, absolutely!
